The Society
The Goal of our society is to educate ourselves and the general public in the classification, evolution and propagation, culture, care, and development of the cultural and economic importance of orchids; and to support the conservation of this fascinating group of plants. Membership is open to anyone who is interested in the object, aims, and purposes of the EEOS, Inc.
What We Believe
Knowledge equals power, which produces successful hobbyists!
We believe that equipping members with knowledge empowers them to be successful in caring for, growing, showing, and propagating their orchids. Education will enable members to become accomplished enthusiasts who will not hesitate to enter their plants into orchid shows and win exclusive awards. We believe in creating an enjoyable learning environment which has several captivating facets which will keep members engaged. This includes a time set aside for refreshments and socializing.
East Everglades Orchid Society puts all this together, and it spells GOOD TIMES!
Regardless of your knowledge level, be it that of a commercial grower or a one orchid novice, every member is sure to benefit from our Society. Regardless of where you live, you will not find an organization that comes close to meeting our standards of excellence. If you are blessed with the many benefits of living in South Dade, add to that blessing by attending one of our monthly meetings, and check it for yourself. Our meetings are free and open to the public. You will be glad you came!
