February 2004 Ribbon Judging

Thank you for all the orchids at the meeting and for our exhibit at the Miami Show. Even if we don't use your orchid for the exhibit, we have an excellent choice to choose from. That's what's important. Judging results for the exhibit in the Miami Show will be posted later.

Check the judging results carefully. If there is a discrepancy, please let the judging chairperson know. Thanks.

East Everglades Orchid Society thanks Bert Pressman, David Schaffter, Erna Maxwell, Richard Brandon, Lynn Corson, Paul Wetter, and David Foster for judging our orchids at the regular meeting.

  Congratulations!!

Congratulations and a round of applause to the members of our club who created original tabletop displays for the Miami Orchid Symphony recently held at the Coconut Grove Convention Center. In the Hobbyist Class, trophies were awarded to Ines Naftali for first place, Maria Wood for third place and Randy Rodriguez received a first place for Hobby Grower seventeen years of age or younger. Carol De Biase received second place in the Open Classes for her presentation representing Vizcaya. These displays were outstanding and EEOS is very proud of the efforts of everyone who participated. This great show was a fine example of our outstanding club and how our members group efforts made such a strong presence in this year's show.

Come and join us as we explore this wonderful group of plants.
