April 2004 Ribbon Judging
Remember, NO judging this month, due to the auction. Plants brought in for judging will be auctioned off!!!
We saw 2 orchids receive the EEOS Award last month. Congratulations to Valerie & David for receiving the EEOS Culture Award for their Den. loddigesii and John & Wayne for receiving the EEOS Silver Award for their Cirr. punctatum.
Three Culture awards were given last month. Bert Pressman brought in a leafless Solenangis aphglla with 327 small white flowers emanating from small branches from the main stem. Valerie & David received culture for a well-grown Den. loddigesii completely covering a 1m tall tree fern totem. It had 214 pink flowers with yellow in the throat of labellum. John & Wayne received culture for their beautiful Cirr. punctatum. It had 5 inflorescences with unusually dark flowers of yellow overlayed with brown and a yellow lip bordered with orange. It had 228 flowers. Other awards are as follows: |

EEOS Culture - Den. loddigesii - 214 pink flowers with a fimbriated lip. It had a large yellow spot in center of labellum. Plant approx. 1m tall, completely covering a tree fern totem in a vine-type pattern. Valerie & David
EEOS Silver - 84 points - Cirr. punctatum - 5 inflorescences with 228 yellow overlaid with brown flowers. Labellum is yellow bordered with orange. (3.8 cm spread), (Sepal 0.8 W, 2.3 L), (Petal 1.2 W, 2.0 L), (Lip 1.4 W, 1.3 L). John & Wayne
