October 2004 Ribbon Judging
Remember, no judging will be held this month due to our AUCTION, on November 16th. Our auction will also be the monthly meeting for November. This was our last judging of the year.
Now is the time to prepare your shade houses or patios for winter. If you cannot enclose your orchids in a closed-up greenhouse or other structure, at least put up plastic along the north side of the structure to keep the cold winds from getting to the orchids. If you have just a few plants, you can always bring them inside. Remember, if your plants need watering and we've had a cold snap, wait until the warmest part of the day to water. If it is just too cold, don't water, but wait for a warmer day.
Sorry, but we didn't have any cultures last month, but we have one more chance this year. Awards are as follows:
