2007 Miami Intl. Orchid Show Ribbon Judging
Thank you for all the orchids for our exhibit at the Miami International Orchid Show. Our society received 1st place for a 200 sq. foot exhibit at the show. Valerie Foster and her volunteers did a wonderful job of putting together the orchids and the exhibit for our society. They couldn't have done it without your help! Everyone wanted to relax and rest in the hammock & sip margaritas after set-up!! Very good work and thank you for all your effort.
Congratulations to Sandy & Georgia for receiving the Lyle Swanson Trophy for the best hybrid in the exhibit - Ren. Mauricette Brin. David & Valerie received the Fred Fuchs Memorial Award for the best species – Den. smilliae. Two cultures were awarded in the show, David & Valerie's Den. smilliae and Dana Greenberg's superbum both received culture. Thank you for all the wonderful plants.
As always, orchids used in the exhibit receive double points. Bring any errors to the attention of David Schaffter if you like them corrected. |
