This is the time to repot our orchids. The temperature is rising along with the humidity. Before you know it, storm clouds will be raining and your orchids will be in high gear to grow. Be ready with the fungicide, insecticide and fertilizer. This will be the time your plants will need your attention.

Congratulations to Karen Henington for receiving a culture ribbon on her Enc. bractescens. The orchid was symmetrically round and displayed 374 flowers in bloom. The flowers were typical for the species, petals and sepals pale mahogany with light pink lip. Bob Watson received a culture ribbon for his Paph. Temptation. This well-grown and displayed orchid had 2 spikes with 12 well-presented flowers. Flowers were cream-colored with mahogany lines in dorsal sepal. The pouch was cream with a pronounced pale yellow venation. Bob also received the prestigious EEOS Award for Culture for the same plant. It received a total of 85 points. Way to go, Bob!!
