We hope our little discussion about selected orchids from the judging table is an educational and informative experience for our members. We try not to take too much time and also work to make it interesting. We like to include the growers’ comments of the chosen orchids, so they can give first-hand growing techniques about their orchid. Feel free to ask questions at this time and we will try to answer to the best of our ability. However, our Vandaceous Orchids seem to thrive in our summer heat and humidity, and do just fine. Many awarded Vandas and Ascocendas come from Florida and other areas, where warm is the norm and cool summers are unheard of.

Please, please,  register your orchids early and move into the main hall so our judges can get started. Our judges have a hard time observing the plants when other members are looking at the orchids during the judging period. It is also distracting. Orchids should be registered no later than 7:30 PM so our judges can get started. Other awards are as follows:
