| EEOC members are invited to bring their orchids in flower to be judged by our teams of highly trained AOS Judges, with over 100 years of combined judging experience, or just come to learn more about orchids and the AOS process of judging orchids. Monthly Judging, periodic lectures and seminars are held at Fairchild Tropical Gardens, the second Monday of each month, 10901 Old Cutler Road, Coral Gables. Judging starts promptly at 7:30 p.m. |

The Boca Raton Orchid Society began in 1989 with just 27 members. Since then, the society has grown tremendously, and now boasts a membership of 226 members. The goals of the society are to promote education on all aspects of orchid culture, to support a scholarship at Florida Atlantic University, to provide ongoing support for the American Orchid Society, and to share our enjoyment of this most wonderful hobby. Each year, their members enjoy a Spring Picnic held right on the ocean in lovely Boca Raton, several fun-filled bus safaris to local orchid growers, a yearly auction, a popular annual show and sale, and an elegant Holiday Party at year end. |

The Central Florida Orchid Society (CFOS) was founded in 1943 with the purpose of extending the knowledge, production, use, and appreciation of orchids. The society has grown rapidly in recent years and now includes 250 members. In addition to a general monthly meeting with a speaker, refreshments, plant table, raffle, and silent auction, members may attend four study groups that also meet each month. CFOS sponsors shows to present awards for excellence and increase the public interest in the growing of orchids. The annual auction in August has become a very successful fundraiser that attracts orchid lovers from all over Central Florida. |

The Coalition for Orchid Species consists of a group of orchid enthusiasts, who are dedicated to the enjoyment, cultivation, and conservation of species orchids. They invite you to come to their next meeting at Fairchild Tropical Garden. Meetings focus on the care, cultivation, procurement, and propagation of species orchids. Their regular meetings feature an invited speaker who discusses the highlighted species group of the evening. This is followed by a Show-and-Tell session of blooming species, often rare and exotic, brought in by members, who discuss their natural habitats and their successful culture in South Florida. The Coalition also maintains an extensive circulating library to facilitate the identification and study of species orchids. |

The Coral Springs Orchid Society, a non-profit organization, is affiliated with the American Orchid Society. It was founded in 1973 by Elliott Mackle and a small group of orchid enthusiasts. The purpose was to meet and discuss orchids, how to buy, grow. and care for them, and to impart this knowledge on orchid lovers in the area, who would join the society or come to meetings. Membership is available to anyone who shows a sincere interest in orchids and who wants to actively participate in the activities of the Coral Springs Orchid Society. Today the society has 120 active members. Whether you have one orchid plant that you love and cherish, or one thousand orchid plants, they invite you to come to their meetings as a guest. Hopefully, you will like what you hear and see and decide to become a member. |

The Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society was organized in June 1951 with about twelve members. After several meetings in private homes, the Society needed larger space as it grew and held its meeting in the Birch State Park Garden Center. Later, it moved to quarters in the recreation hall of First Congregational Church, and then to St. Anthony's School. Meetings are now held at Christ Lutheran Church, 1955 East Oakland Park Boulevard. The purpose of the Society is to stimulate interest, provide education and enable exchange of information among those interested in the culture of orchids in all its aspects. You are cordially invited to attend their meetings and become a member of the Society. |

| The Naples Orchid Society's objective is to promote the appreciation and cultivation of orchids as a hobby. Preserving wild orchids indigenous to this area is also a subject of interest to many members of the society. To these ends, NOS sponsors year-round activities intended to educate individuals in how to obtain and grow healthy blooming orchids which do well in our area. These activities include a highly regarded series of culture classes offered each winter; in the spring is their annual show; a large sale each October; and various bus trips throughout the year to well-known orchid shows and botanical gardens. Organized in 1962, NOS currently has approximately 175 members from a wide variety of backgrounds. |

The Platinum Coast Orchid Society, a non-profit organization, was founded and became a chartered affiliate of The American Orchid Society in 1956. Its purpose is to promote conservation of orchids and to grow them for personal enjoyment and satisfaction. It is commonly proclaimed that 'Everyone can grow orchids'. Members of the Platinum Coast Orchid Society not only believe in that claim, but strive to help each other and new members to make it a reality. Founded with the mission "To enjoy and protect Earth's vanishing species," the Tallahassee Orchid Society is a non-profit organization whose goal is to educate its members and the public at large about orchids. In addition to monthly meetings (usually held on the first Thursday of each month), the society puts on an annual spring orchid show that features displays and orchid vendors from throughout the state of Florida and the greater southeast region. The society includes members of all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds, with growing experiences ranging from rank novices to seasoned professionals. |

The Tropical Orchid Society was founded in 1967 and continues to grow. It meets monthly in the auditorium of the Mounts Agricultural Building, in Palm beach County, presenting interesting speakers for its members and guests. The society sponsors the Orchid Festivals twice a year. It also has one or two Workshops each year, with cultural demonstrations, vendors, supplies, repotting service, and a members' table for the sale of any "excess" plants. Most months, there is also a study group meeting on the Saturday before the regular meeting.
