Guidelines For
Submiting Pictures

If you are a member of EEOS and have pictures of orchids you are particularly proud of or that you just want to share with other people, send them to us. Since this is uncharted territory for all of us, we are establishing some tentative procedures and rules to make it as easy as possible for you to submit your photos and for us to receive them and post them on our web site.

	On the number of pictures per member
	Currently, there is no limit on the number of pictures per member, as long as it is within reason.
	On the order of the pictures
	The pictures are posted in the order in which they are received, with the more recently submitted pictures appearing first.
	On how to submit pictures
	You can send your pictures two ways: a) if you only have the prints, select the ones you want and mail them to the address below. We will scan them and put them on the Internet under your name. Please don't forget to include the complete name of the orchids along with your pictures. You can also hand these to our webmaster Fred Armando at our monthly meetings. b) If you have access to a scanner or are using a digital camera, e-mail your pictures to webmaster@orchidseeos.com.
	On e-mailing pictures
	Send only one picture attached to each e-mail; include the complete name of the orchid in the body of the e-mail; and try to send the largest file you can up to 1 MB per picture (don't bother zipping it: since jpeg is a compressed file format, zipping your pictures will not really reduce their size). Should you have any problems e-mailing your pictures, put all the original files in a CD and mail it to the address below or give it to Fred at our monthly meetings.
	On altering your pictures
	Please understand that we sometimes have to crop your pictures in order to make them fit better on the page.
	On the spelling of orchid names
	Please be very careful when writing down the name of your orchid. We will post it exactly as you have typed it, since it is too time-consuming to check the name of every orchid for accuracy.
