Alexis Pardo from "Orquidearios Venezolanos" in Maracay, Venezuela will be tonight's speaker. Twenty or so years ago, Alex specialized in species and hybrid Catasetums, and there is even a primary hybrid named after him [Catasetum Alexis Pardo = C. pileatum x C. tabulare].

Last year he was the only overseas vendor at the Fall Redlands Orchid Fair and will be returning to the one being held this coming weekend to offer Venezuelan orchids for sale. He will bringing the plants for our raffle table.
