Tonight's Program:
Ed Bugbee
Mini and Compact Cattleyas

Ed Bugbee

Ed and Lynn Bugbee started growing orchids in 1988 after buying 4 plants in Hawaii. At the time, they lived on a farm on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. They went to flower and orchid shows and joined the Cape and Islands Orchid Society. Attending meetings not only helped learn more about orchids but got them involved in setting up displays at shows.

In 1994 they moved to Crystal River, Florida with approximately 500 orchids. Then, Ed and Lynn started Featherstone Orchids. They began selling at shows and began teaching their customers more about orchid growing. They also started doing educational exhibits, then began giving talks at society meetings.

Ed will be giving a mini-class on fertilization, followed by his main program on mini and compact cattleyas. He will also provide the raffle table and will have plants for sale as well.

We hope to see everyone at the meeting. And don't forget to bring some friends along!

Come and join us as we explore this wonderful group of plants.
