Michael Tibbs was born and raised in Africa. He started growing orchids at 6 years of age.
Michael has worked since the age of 24 in the orchid industry, initially at McBeans in the UK and then for the 12th WOC Committee in Japan. He then operated his own business until returning to South Africa in 1999 to grow Disas. |
He is an accredited judge in South Africa, Japan, and the USA, as well as a member of the Royal Horticultural Society Judging Committee. Michael has written seven books on orchids from basic know-how, to cultural guides, to historical and botanical books.
Michael's lecture will cover Odontoglossums, Miltoniopsis, and Disas.
