Tonight's Program:
Richard Brandon
Bifoliate Cattleyas

Richard Brandon Richard Brandon is a transplanted New Yorker who retired to the Florida Keys in 1994. His initial goal was to scuba dive and spearfish but along the way he was ruthlessly attacked by the dreaded "Orchid Bug." His ongoing battle with Orchid Fever has him joining various societies to fight this disease. He is presently a member of the Key Largo Orchid Society, vice-president of the South Florida Orchid Society and president of the East Everglades Orchid Society. He is also a probationary judge for the American Orchid Society.

In his present state of delirium he has served as the show chairman for the Miami International Orchid Show. He has suffered a relapse and will also repeat this procedure this year.

Taking advantage of his quarantined (read captive) audience at the East Everglades meeting he will attempt his talk on "Bifoliate Cattleyas."

It hasn't yet been determined whether his appearance is by popular demand or because he works cheap. In all seriousness, though, Richard is a great guy, who is always willing to share his knowledge on orchids. And he's a very entertaining speaker to boot. Whether you're interested in this beautiful group of orchids, or even if you've never tried your hand at Cattleyas, one thing is for sure: you will walk out the meeting having learned a thing or two, and you will have a great time as well.

So come on over and bring a friend. See you all there!

Come and join us as we explore this wonderful group of plants.
