Tonight's Program:
Carol De Biase
Miniatures

Carol De Biase Carol De Biase is the Curator of Orchids at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens in Miami, Florida for the last 5 years. Carol has been growing orchids for thirty years starting out in Tulsa , Oklahoma where her husband John was practicing medicine.

Carol has been an American Orchid Society Judge for the last twenty-eight years traveling extensively to Peru, Borneo, Malaysia, Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and the Caribbean, as well as all over the United States. Carol has served on many Committees of the American Orchid Society and is currently on the Membership Committee.

Carol is also a member of the South Florida Leadership Council, member of many orchid societies and has been the show chairman of the East Everglades Orchid Society for the last five years and for the last four years has been the Editor of the South Florida Orchid Society "The Orchidist" Magazine/Newsletter.

Carol's program is all about the wonder of miniature orchids, these exotic, strange, small, and ultimately beautiful plants. She will show us that there is more to the world of orchids than just the large cattleyas, phalaenopsis, and vandas we are all accustomed to seeing at our local garden center.

Come on over and learn something about miniature orchids! This promises to be an excellent program. And don't forget to bring a friend along. Guests are always welcome at the East Everglades Orchid Society meetings.

Come and join us as we explore this wonderful group of plants.
